The Faculty of Law offers a Bachelor’s degree in Business Law. The program consists of coursework in finance, business and law, and is designed to equip students for managerial positions requiring special knowledge of the legal aspects of business and management. Furthermore, students receive instruction in the fundamentals of legal theory, including the sources of law and constitutional law.
During the third year of study, many of the courses are taught in English. This prepares Icelandic students for work in an international environment or for graduate studies at foreign universities. It also enables foreign students from Bifröst's partner universities abroad to come and study in Iceland for a semester.
Students complete their degree with a final 15 ECTS credit thesis.
The graduate program in law offers two tracks, leading either towards an ML degree or towards a MA degree in Tax Law. The ML degree focuses on legal theory and practice, preparing the students for work as attorneys at law.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law is Bryndís Hlöðversdóttir.
