Using Outlook off campus
Settings for Outlook to enable use off campus.
Start by selecting Tools (on the top toolbar)
Select: Account Settings/Change/More Settings/Connection.
Check: Connect to Microsoft Exchange Using HTTP
Click on: “Exchange Proxy Settings” and enter the following settings:
Connection Settings:
Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange:
https://postur.bifrost.is
Check: Connect using SSL only
Check: On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP

There have been cases where users have difficulties opening their internet mail using the URL https://vefpóstur.bifrost.is.
If this happens, use the following link: https://213.167.155.175/owa
The best way to log in is to use: username@bifrost.is (not the e-mail address, but, e.g., the bifnumber) in the upper window and the password in the lower window.
On campus, it should be sufficient to enter: vefpostur.bifrost.is or https://vefpostur.bifrost.is
